Nigerian Dwarf Goats

ABOUT

Here at The Modern Eden, I keep a small herd with just a few kiddings a year, so each young goat is properly socialized to be “in your pocket” friendly while still being dam-raised until ready to wean. My goal is to create the perfect manageable-sized pet or small homestead goat that catches the eye. I endeavor to breed a mini goat with flashy colors, blue eyes, and only the sweetest temperaments.

Upcoming breedings

  • Ruby x Onyx

This pairing previously resulted in 2 doelings with blue eyes: Flora with heavy moon spotting and Fauna with a Carmel coat and white spots. These kids will be ideal for breeding quality, registered, flashy goats with great milking lines.
BRED ON JANUARY 3RD- KIDDING EARLY JUNE

  • Pearl x Onyx

This is the first breeding for Pearl, but Onyx is well proven. Pearl has blue eyes, and Onyx has brown but throws mostly blue eyed daughters when paired with a blue doe. Hoping for highly spotted kids with both their parents sweet temperaments.

BRED ON JANUARY 14TH- KIDDING MID JUNE

  • Flora x Titanium

This is the first breeding for both. Flora is the offspring of Onyx x Ruby with blue eyes and heavy moonspotting. Blue-eyed kids with hopes of moonspots or silver. These kids will be registered from excellent milking lines, which is great for the homestead or showing.

  • Blueberry x Rocky

Blueberry and Rocky are amongst my sweetest and smallest goats; both have blue eyes. This pairing should produce tiny, spotted, blue-eyed babies. Rocky is not registered, so the kids will go unregistered. This kidding will be perfect for those looking for a flashy, small goat.

BRED ON JANUARY 8TH- KIDDING EARLY JUNE

How to purchase a goat

To get on a waitlist for a future kidding, click the contact button below. If kids are available off the waitlist, and possible future adults are for sale, they will be listed as “for sale.”

Kids will go to their new homes no sooner than 10 weeks unless they are bottle babies. All kids will be disbudded at 2-4 weeks. I make absolutely certain that my goats go to good homes with adequate shelter and secure fencing to protect them from roaming dogs and predators. Goats must go to homes with other goats or go in pairs.
